Q: How is the RhinoKey deployed?
A: The operator thrusts the spike through the security screen mesh, behind the locking mechanism of the door, then dynamically pulls the slide, forcing the door open.
Q: Is the RhinoKey painted?
A: No. It is powder coated for greater durability. Textured flat black on the outer slide for durability and control. Gloss on the inner piece for smooth operation.
Q: Does the RhinoKey require lubrication or any maintenance?
A: No. It is not designed to be lubricated and is designed to be maintenance free.
Q: Can I get the RhinoKey in a different color configuration?
A: Yes. By special order.
Q: Will the slide sheer the bolt off given enough force?
A: The bolt is Grade 8 or better. It is designed to withstand the forces a strong adult can apply. It is not designed to be attached to other mechanical devices.
Q: Does the RhinoKey come in different sizes?
A: Not at this time. There are two adjustable throw lengths on the slide of the RhinoKey, 18” and 22” to accommodate different preferences.
Q: Can the RhinoKey be used by two people simultaneously?
A: The RhinoKey is designed to be used by one operator.
